I'm (wait for it) IN LOVE.

Georgie put on a great show for me Saturday night. All golden muscle, beautiful condidtioning and fan-fucking-tabulous standup, take-down and ground work. And that superman-leg-kick-take-down shit was so hot. How sad is that? I'm pretty sure he didn't even break a sweat.

But mortals my love affair with GSP has ended bitterly. It's like Marky Mark all over again except without the divorce and shady affiar with his brother.

I say bitter, but probably what I mean is bitter
sweet. It was an friendly break-up. Georgie was sad but since he just won the title he handled it really well. He didn't even seem to mind I was leaving him for another MMA badass. Of course, he was making out with the fat chick in the dark corner of Mickey D's when I told him, but whatever.

It's all his fault really. I mean if he'd done what Nate Quarry did then we might still be together but alas Georgie's matchup was a tad more physically involved than Nate's and so he didn't have time to pull out the same sweet tricks as Nate.

This my friends is the greatest moment in MMA history:

So that video is a little hyped up, but even live it was hysterical. We were all laughing, tears in our eyes staring at the TV in astonished disbelief. And the announcers...god, they were classic.

My favorite part is when he flips Nate off and Nate introduces Kalib's head to his knee.

Okay, no wait it was when Nate did the move. Call it whatever you will, but we all know it was fucking beautiful. Cross guard hammerfist. The Screech. Flailing hammer. Whatever. I call it great.

And the Rocky quote? Sealed the deal. I was officially in love with Quarry.

I'll still watch all your fights, Georgie, but until you pull some shit like that we're done.

Aaaahhh, love.

P.S. Starnes was dropped from the UFC. For the record, he did come out and say he requested to be released from his contract. Otay. And he broke his foot. Right, so imagine how fast he could have ran if it wasn't broken. Oh, yeah, and I think he said his leg was bruised really bad from all the kicks. Hmmm, this is MMA, right?
Next time, try throwing in the towel. Or better yet? Don't. I'd pay again to see a fight like this.
