So, I'm hard at work on a new manuscript. Nevermind I have three others that need to be finished, critiqued, re-written and submitted, right?

I'm consumed by this new work. I'm abso-fucking-lutely in love with my hero. I want him to jump off the page and into my life, killing bad guys and whisking me away to wherever military hero's stow away their loved ones.

DD is not to happy about this development. Whatever. It's fiction, right?

I've been doing a lot of research for this book. Scouring the web for bits and pieces of information, dvr'ing ever future weapons show on the military channel (mostly because I'm also in LOVE with Mack), reading mil blogs and debating whether it's okay to ask my gazillion adopt-a-soldier's questions about day to day life in their deployment. I struggle with that because I try never to talk about that aspect of their life. I just send goodie packages and go on and on about insignificant bs in my letters so they have something lighthearted to look forward to in whatever role they are playing for our country.

The internet truly is an amazing tool. I can't imaging all the work authors of old had to do to research a role. Me? I just boot up the pc, type something in google and off I go...I even find all my folks to interview on the web. I never have to leave the house...which sucks ass for my ever expanding ass, right?

So...I'm gonna stop now because I really need to finish a scene with Mr. Hot-Come-And-Get-Me-Hero. Man, I love him.
