Thumbs Up!
I've totally been neglecting my blog other than my Top Ten mostly because there are a lot of good books out right now and I need to get caught up. And also because reading keeps me from writing and I'm a bad finisher.
Keep those bad thoughts in your head.
I met a friend after work for just a couple of minutes to drop off a birthday gift for his sister - someone I grew up with. Well, she was like 5 when we were growing up but now she's in college with boobs and a boyfriend and stuff. I digress.
So, we are chatting over this and that when he stops. Looks at me. Gives me the classic 'wtf' look.
C: What?
OF: What's with that? (gestures toward my hands)
C: What?
OF: The thumb thing.
Okay, so I noticed it over the weekend and I tried to get it under control. What is it you may ask? The Fonzie Thumbs Up.
I know. Believe me I KNOW. And even though I was aware perhaps I wasn't really aware until old friend pointed it out. But now I'm really aware and it is driving me crazy. Where the hell did this come from? Why am I suddenly shooting thumbs up to all that pass by and dare to engage in conversation? What the hell is wrong with me?
Next thing you know I'll be sporting a fanny pack and stealing sorority pens from unsuspecting girls at writing conferences. I'm out of control.
I also want to dedicate this post to the two bestest nephews in the entire world, M & A. You boys are the best even though you abuse me with your Mario Kart trash talk and puppy dog eyes. I love you both!!! Now, stop reading right now because Aunt C might have some dirty words in her previous posts and doesn't want to be reprimanded by Mama T. Not Kidding. Stop Reading. Now.

I wish I could have seen you defending UFC...It would have been a shining moment in history!
